Sahakarmaharshi Bhausaheb Thorat (Dada) Sangamner is such a drought taluka. A large number of weedy workers were working in this taluk. Rural life was very harsh. Various executive societies, milk societies, water distribution societies and credit societies were set up. A sugar factory, milk union was set up at Barad Malrana of Ghulewadi at Sangamner.
